Evaluation
My evaluation/game
In this evaluation I will be writing about my research and my game production also how my work helped me creating the game, Firstly I got on idea of creating characters when I done my cute tutorial where I created four characters using shapes and using the polygonal lasso tool, I learned how to fill in the outlines and also how to soften or harden the colors by changing/editing the filter
Secondly my business card helped me learn how to edit the colors within the object I was creating for example the inner glow effect, this effect added an inner effect this made it stand out more and, change the style to dull colors to colors that are eye-catching to the viewers. Furthermore the second tool that I learned was the Bevel and emboss effect which is found in the Layer style menu when you double click your layer, By choosing to Bevel and emboss your layer it turns your layer into 3D this is a very useful tool because it changed whatever you was doing from 2D to 3D you can also create styles ranging from reflective chrome refractive glass to chiseled stone this is if you want your work to be more effective.( I used the Bevel and emboss and sharpened and added texture to my background map on the mud)
My Super-Mario research also helped me choose which target audience I want for my game this is going to be 3+ because I want my game suitable for nearly all ages also I want family's to play in their own comfort with each other. My games going to include a secret room which will include diamonds inside them, diamonds in my game will be the same as coins in Super-Mario. But I didn't want to copy the idea of coins.
For my game I created a hero which is half human half robot/futuristic His powers will be running and jumping also, moving forward and back, his superpower is going to activate when he collects a certain amount of coins, he will be able to shoot through his robotic eyes at any enemy in-front which will make them disappear.I chose to make him purple so he stands out and the bullets are going to be blue through his eyes. the bullets are going to have an inner glow
The enemy in my game is going have a white faced masked and red body, I got this idea from Super-Mario, The enemy's are going to be challenging to the hero because if you touch or fall on them you will lose a life and become weak, you have 3 life's in total.
The objective of my game is to pass many levels/rooms as possible without dying 3 times and collecting as many coins as possible. whilst there are going to obstacles to overcome. Also you get a reward for finding the secret room.
What I would do differently is probably add a side-kick for the hero I would make him have a side-kick when he gets a certain amount of coins, (this will not change him shooting through his eyes either).
Research into other games

Super Mario
Today over 28.50m units have been sold world wide and it is still increasing.
- The target audience for the game is 3+, suitable for all the family to play with no gender bias.
- The features of the game, running, jumping and battling enemies through different levels make the game so addictive to play
- The thing that makes the game so addictive to the audience is that they don't want to be defeated and want to carry on playing the rest of the game, so in order to do this they would have to try to overcome the challenges in the game.
This game also includes secret rooms and hidden messages within, its your task to find them.
Sonic is the primary Franchise from Sega, The first game in the franchise was released on June 23, 1991. Since then, Sonic has become one of the world's best-known video game characters, with his series having sold over 80 millions of copies by 2011, and 150 million by 2014
- The target audience for this game is also similar to Super mario ranging from 3+ to 7+ this is because this is also suitable for children and its simple to play.
- This game also includes running, jumping, collecting rings (coins) this is what makes the game addictive, also battling enemys.
Street fighter

Street fighter is a fighting game franchise by Capcom. The game's playable characters originate from different countries around the world, each with his or her own unique fighting style. It is Capcom's second best-selling franchise, having significant success worldwide
- This game includes jumping, moving, and hitting your enemy's with different parts of your body, for example being able to tackle them, punch them, kick them
- This game is also addicting because you want to win against your opponent, this is what makes it competitive.
The age rating for this game is 12+ because it has some form of violence but only so slightly.

Game Background

My game is inspired by Super Mario, I have made the background from filling in a layer which I made light blue, Secondly I copied a template of a cloud from the internet which is white and I copied that 3 times so there is 3 clouds, after that I added some grass on to the background so it looks realistic and I added mud/soil underneath the grass by making a rectangle I changed the color of it to brown and I added a Bevel and emboss effect on the mud so it looks more textured and 3D.

Hero for my game
This is my hero for my game, To do this firstly I got an image of a pentagon with curved sides and I cropped it in half seconds i made an oval shape by using the ellipse tool and I then put them both together to make a a metal shaped head I then used the ellipse tool again to create the eyes and eyelids, Furthermore I got an image of a body from online and copied that I changed the colour to the same color as the eyes. His strengths will be when he collects a certain amount of coins he will be able to shoot through his eyes for a total of 15 seconds, shooting the enemy's he comes across.
Villain for my game
This is my villain for my game I got the idea of this enemy from Mario kart to do this I had to get the ellipse tool and create a head which i turned the color of it into dark red, Then I made another circle by using the ellipse tool to create a mask which I made white, The I used the ellipse tool again to create the eyes which are black and a small mouth. Secondly I went on the internet to find a body outline which I copied and changed the color of it to red so its simple and not super detailed then I added skull and bones onto its top so it we know that it is evil.

facial expressions
Today's lesson we had to sit next to someone that we didn't really interact with in the group and we had to get basic information from them for example.
Their hobbies, fantasy, and what they like to do
Then we had to draw their ego into a superhero

Snowflake
In this tutorial I had to create 5 lines and add different shapes on it to make it look like a snowflake
Each and every one of them are individually different.
To do this I had to select one of my brushes and then turn them into a new brush style by selecting new pattern brush style I did this 5 times
After that I created a hexagon shape I selected new ‘brush pattern’ from the stroke brush selection bar. and that changed the hexagon into a snowflake
